Carpe Diem Publisher
Carpe Diem Publisher is the private account-connection and publishing application for Carpe Diem News. It lets the channel owner connect social accounts, verify the intended account, and authorize publishing of approved news content with assistance from an AI agent.
Who can use it
The publishing controls are restricted to the owner. This public page explains the application; it does not provide access to connected accounts or their credentials.
YouTube connection
The application requests YouTube read access to identify and verify the selected channel, and upload permission for authorized video publishing. It stores encrypted authorization credentials so it can renew access without asking the owner to sign in for every operation. The selected channel name is checked before the connection is saved.
YouTube connections can be authorized and verified. Public API uploads remain disabled pending the separate YouTube API Services audit. Connecting an account does not itself upload or publish a video.
Bluesky connection
The owner can connect a Bluesky account with a dedicated app password. The application verifies its identity, renews the saved session when needed, and can publish owner-authorized posts and supported media.
Pinterest and additional social connections
The owner can save app credentials and authorize Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, Threads and X connections. The application checks that the authorized account matches the intended account and supports token renewal where available. Pinterest permissions cover account identity, the account's boards and Pins, and creating Pins for approved news content. Publishing features and production access depend on implementation and each platform's approval; connecting an account does not itself publish anything.
